Simacryl® ETC-501 is used for producing medical adhesives and sticky-back appurtenances used in automotive and aviation industries.
Simacryl® ETC-501 adheres well to olefinic surfaces.
Polyolefin film should always be given a corona discharge treatment before applying the adhesives.
0.05-0.2% wetting agent is recommended to overcome wetting problems.
Adhesives based on Simacryl® ETC-501 can be applied with usual coating systems such as: doctor blade, wire-wound roll, air knife, reverse roll coating, reverse gravure coating, curtain coating and jet applicator.
We would suggest adding preservatives to pressure sensitive adhesives formulations containing simacryl® ETC-501 to protect the system from microbial attack.
In order to prevent contamination of pressure sensitive adhesive, sure that the bulk cap, is closed perfectly after each usage and store it above 5 OC.
Simacryl® ETC-501 is a high solid resin with good shear resistance, high peel adhesion and excellent cohesive strength.
