Simacryl® ETC-331 is designed to be used in pressure sensitive adhesives and sealant formulations.
It adheres to treated olefinic surfaces.
Polyolefin films should always be given a crona discharge treatment before applying the adhesives.
0.05-0.2% wetting agent is recommended to overcome wetting problems.
Adhesives based on Simacryl® ETC-331 can be applied with usual coating systems such as: doctor blades, wire-wound rolls, air knifes, reverse roll coatings, reverse gravure coatings, curtain coatings and jet applicators.
We would suggest adding preservatives to pressure sensitive adhesives formulations containing simacryl® ETC-331 to protect the system from microbial attack.
In order to prevent contamination of pressure sensitive adhesive, sure that the bulk cap, is closed perfectly after each usage and store it above 5 OC.
High tack is the main feature of Simacryl® ETC-331 which makes it to be used as a tackifier in pressure sensitive adhesive formulations.
It is supplied with ready-to-coat viscosity and rheology characteristics.
